Proposal/Marketing Manager

MRO Engineers was founded in 1991 to focus on the planning and design of transportation infrastructure and site development projects for both public agencies (federal, state and local) and private clients.  We are a Caltrans Certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, State of California and U.S. Small Business Administration Certified Small Business, and employ 25 professional and support staff in our Rocklin corporate office and our statewide construction management offices.  MRO Engineers provides multi-disciplinary services including the planning, funding, design, and construction management of transportation and land/site development projects. 

Summary:

 

The Proposal/Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, scheduling, and overseeing proposal efforts for major business opportunities. You will seek out, identify, and report to principals any Request for Information (RFI?s), Request for Proposals (RFP?s), or other marketing leads for upcoming work that the firm may wish to consider.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of creativity, ingenuity and resourcefulness with the ability to counsel, develop, and motivate lower level employees. In addition, you will develop marketing materials and collateral, such as brochures and announcements; as well as, perform other marketing and public relations duties.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 Manage all proposal activities through to completion Take Government RFPs and outline the proposal response and writing responsibilities Compile technical elements of proposals are in accordance with RFP specifications Write persuasive, compelling copy for use in Requests for Proposals (RFPs);Interact with capture management teams to ensure proposals meet RFP requirements Work with team members to ensure compelling winning themes and arguments carry through Counsel team on complex proposal issues and make recommendations Act as a consultant and provides guidance and direction on proposal teams in support of proposal effortsConstruct and write sections of the proposal volume to ensure thoroughness Lead multi-discipline or cross-functional team(s) Maintain all marketing files, both paper and electronic.Frequent internal and external senior customer interaction

 

Job Requirements:

 Experience in and a passion for marketing, promotions / advertising in the consumer goods industry or B2B strongly desired.Proven record of promotion creation, development and execution.Excellent presentation skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsA passion for excellenceAbility to write professional and effective business correspondenceArticulate, assertive, positive and dynamic team player
