Account Executive
Consumer Technology and Product Reviews Team

If you ?get? technology and are looking for a meaningful opportunity to impact tomorrow?s trends, you?re just the person we?d like to add to our growing Consumer Technology and Product Reviews/Technical Labs teams. Porter Novelli plays a major role in how tech leaders successfully introduce new products. We?re looking for a talented few who get excited about the newest gadget, gizmo or acronym.
Account team members on the Consumer Technology team plan and execute client activities surrounding news events and broader campaigns and initiatives with the media. Account team members on the Product Reviews team plan and execute client activities surrounding product placement and product testing opportunities with the media. Reporting to an Account Supervisor or a higher-level supervisor, these team members play an active role in the timely and proactive coordination and implementation of daily account activities on behalf of the client. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and editing high quality written materials including reviewer?s guides, fact sheets, backgrounders, biographies, tour reports, briefing books, plans, Q & A's, and general client correspondence, being the primary and ongoing contact on the client's behalf to press and industry analysts, coordinating press and analyst tours, keeping programs on track and ensuring program deadlines are met while handling multiple projects. A passion for and knowledge of technology hardware and software is a must for this position.
Skills required include strong written and verbal skills, proven ability to effectively organize and manage multiple responsibilities, strong understanding of public relations concepts, tactics and media relations, knowledge in integrating research and creative work concepts into account activity, efficiency in word processing, database management and online research, demonstrated ability to work well with others in both team and independent environments, and a positive, flexible attitude that will lend itself to client service.
Three to five years of professional experience required, high-tech background in an agency or corporate setting preferred. BA degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English or PR related discipline.
