The Public Relations / Corporate Communications position is responsible for working closely with the Business Group leaders to develop and execute media strategies that promote and protect the company s reputation, business performance and expertise/services. These strategies need to be results-oriented and integrated/coordinated with other marketing efforts both domestically and internationally (i.e. Europe, Asia Pacific, South America).

You will be working for a group of companies consolidated together under one holding company with one office location. The divisions are: The Institute for Motivational Living or ?IML? ( www.DISCinsights.com ), PeopleKeys ( www.PeopleKeys.com ) and StaffServe Corp. ( www.StaffServe.com )

We are a 25 year old publishing company (IML) who has diversified and extended our assessment usage into online applications for hiring and employee selection (PeopleKeys) as well as recruitment and college career exploration programs (StaffServe). Every company is a leader in their respective fields, using cutting edge technology to deliver products and services around the world in multiple languages.

Our companies have already enjoyed extensive exposure through our own marketing efforts as well as using outside marketing firms, but with so many newsworthy events happening within the companies the time has come for a full time PR and Corporate Communications position to be developed.

Client Base:
The respective companies enjoy a client base of many Fortune 500 companies, various colleges and universities, and thousands of small to mid-size businesses. A few of our recognizable clients are Manpower, Sylvan Learning Centers, The United States Air Force Academy, CareerBuilder.com, Accenture, The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), along with rep agencies in Singapore, Greece, the UK, Brazil, South Africa, and Belgium.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships and achieve results with key business, trade and vertical industry media. The majority of this will be accomplished through proactive outreach, in addition to responding to incoming media requests
- Write key communications that effectively position the company and its services and areas of expertise particularly press releases, media advisories/alerts, bylined articles and pitches
- Manage and conduct business and trade/vertical media interactions
- Assist affiliated agents and consultants on effective media interactions
- Assist with communications for major announcements/developments
- Assist with communications for any situation/issue that puts the company or Business Groups at risk
- Assist with corporate communications and events

Qualifications:
Required Skills
- Proficient in PR technical skills particularly writing, and media relations
- Ability to build/maintain relationships and delivering results with business and trade media
- Strong project management/organizational skills
- Client service focus and capabilities
- Ability to manage a variety of projects at one time

Experience/Education Requirements
A minimum of two to three years of public relations experience is required, preferably in a corporate or agency setting. Business-to-business experiences a plus. BA in a related discipline a plus although not required if candidate has extensive work related experience.

Salary/Benefits:
Salary commensurate with experience. This is a full time position although we will consider part time hours for the right candidate. We are also open to a flexible work schedule (home plus office). Bonuses based on media exposure and associated business opportunities that are developed from the public relations initiatives.
