Public Relations: Management Supervisor/Vice President

Marcus Thomas LLC, a leading full-service marketing communications agency in Cleveland, Ohio is searching for a dynamic professional/brilliant strategist to join its award-winning public relations division.

The ideal candidate will have spent most of his/her career in an agency and will bring strategic counsel and leadership, along with proven success managing business-to-business accounts for high-profile, Fortune 500 clients.

ROLE
- Build strong and lasting relationships within our B-to-B client portfolio based on trust, success and strategic thinking. Seek out challenges our clients never dreamed of asking us to solve.
- Become the key partner our clients look to as they grow their businesses. Combine thorough industry knowledge with competitive intelligence and customer insights that help clients exceed goals and become leaders within their industries.
- Develop sound communications programs. Continually monitor programs to ensure objectives are met and the client is receiving a real value.
- Manage and build a strong and cohesive team of public relations professionals. Lead by example - provide guidance and feedback that enables team members to feel and be successful.
- Write journalistic and technical/trade articles, speeches and other related communications for B-to-B and consumer clients.
- Serve as a department and agency leader by actively supporting, participating in and leading agency initiatives and growth.

REQUIREMENTS
- Ten years? public relations experience - minimum of five within a public relations agency.
- Strong experience managing large accounts is a must (B-to-B and consumer), preferably industrial or manufacturing clients.
- Proven success in all areas of public relations, (media relations, internal communications, crisis communications, event planning etc.)
- Notable success within the public relations industry; i.e., APR accreditation, speaking appearances at major industry conferences or publication in significant industry or business journal.
- Strong presentation skills coupled with the confidence, professionalism and integrity necessary to represent the agency to its client(s).
- An articulate, friendly, ?whatever-it-takes? attitude, along with a strong work ethic. (A good sense of humor helps, too.)
- Excellent PC skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
- A minimum of a bachelor?s degree in journalism, public relations, English or other related field.
- A creative thinker with a passion for generating great ideas on behalf of our clients.
