It sells over 500 million pairs of shoes attracting from school kids to clothing designers.? It has more than 100 company-owned and franchised stores worldwide.

Our client has an opening for a Public Relations Manager position in its headquarters near or around New England.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
-Execute strategically driven and integrated public relations programs, including seasonal media tours/market appointments, product launch publicity events, product placement/items/front-of-book/feature placements and grassroots programs supported by evaluative/monitoring mechanisms to help calculate initiative impact.
-Work closely with Product Marketing and Design to ensure all strategic product placement and key stories are developed.? Manage the seasonal process of ordering core and gallery product for editorial, PR and product seeding.
-Handle day-to-day fashion, consumer, lifestyle and accessories product specific media relations activity, pitches, monitoring and follow up, forwarding any/all media concerns regarding Footwear and Apparel; also to include corporate, financial and/or special issues to the Public Relations Director.?
-Research, manage and enhance company?s media segmentation media and influencer databases, monitoring for emerging media, shifts in focus, editorial staff changes, etc working closely with the Presence Marketing Manager.
-Drive the development, planning, production, execution and reporting of seasonal product mailings and pitching to fashion, consumer, lifestyle and accessories media.? Establish timetables and structural/operational framework for consistent delivery of consumer media campaigns for both footwear and apparel.? Responsible for proactive product pitching and follow-up to communications, mailings and events.
-Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Media Relations Coordinator including all PR Departmental and Administrative reporting requirements (e.g., traffic sheets, PR closets, samples in/out, PR Updates weekly/monthly, etc.).? Responsible for coordinating with PR Director to anticipate and acquire adequate staffing and service resources to effectively execute PR initiatives.

Requirements:
-Bachelor?s degree
-6-8 years public relations and events experience, agency or corporate, ideally with apparel and footwear experience.
