Public Relations Professional - Industry Sectors-006JM

Description This Public Relations professional, assists in and administers a number of key public relations tactics and programs for three key industry sectors: Automotive, Oil & Gas and Banking. In conjunction with an Associate Director, this person will co-develop Thought Leadership pieces for these industry sectors in a variety of mediums. Additionally, this personwill be responsible for media relations and the development of media materials such as press kits, press releases, media alerts and backgrounders. This position requires excellent project management skills and demonstrated experience keeping numerous, large, involved projects moving at the same time. The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated and self-directed.

Responsibilities:

Media relations outreach
News Releases
Media relationship management
Executive visibility and positioning
Managing relationships with internal clients, outside vendors and PR agencies
Researching Speaking Opportunities

Qualifications

This role requires a Bachelors degree in public relations, journalism, marketing or related fields and approximately 2-4 years experience in public relations; previous agency experience is a plus. This personmust posses excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to think conceptually and provide strategic suggestions and solutions. The ability to produce high quality work under strictand constantdeadlines and the ability to flourish in a team environment is a must. Experience with the Automotive, Oil & Gas or Banking industry is strongly preferred.
