Public Relations Professional with Excellent Writing Skills

Overview:

 

PR/Advertising agency seeks a dynamic, results-oriented multi-tasker with strong writing and media pitching skills to join our team of communications professionals. Must have five to seven years experience, preferably in an agency environment.  As an account executive you will have an opportunity to play a key role in managing clients in diverse industries. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and comfortable working in a team environment. Strong presentation skills and business development experience a plus.

 

General Responsibilities:

 

You will be responsible for writing releases, scripts and client proposals as well as researching, planning, coordinating and implementing client programs and activities in a timely, efficient and high-quality manner; ensuring that all programs are strategically on target with clients? business objectives; maintaining day-to-day contact with client; and reporting program results to agency management and client.

 

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 Act as primary client contact; continually foster client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to client. Continually build understanding and knowledge of clients? businesses and competitive environments; apply this information in preparing and presenting strategically focused programs and recommendations. Write compelling communication materials, including press releases, byline articles, speeches, newsletters, client correspondences and reports. Execute PR and day-to-day account activities including placement of stories through media pitching.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would qualify. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to the following: Bachelor?s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English, marketing or a related field. Five or more years experience in public relations. Excellent credentials in media relations and issues management. Proven media placement success. Self-Starter, goal-oriented and highly motivated.

 

 

Qualification bonus: 

 

Experience in health care, transportation or financial public relations a plus, but not required.
