Job Description:

The Request for Proposal (RFP) Analyst/ Writer position is a part of the sales and marketing team.  The RFP Analyst is responsible for the timely completion and delivery of RFPs which includes task management, research and communication. This position requires direct, ongoing interaction with internal sales staff or other internal departments as needed, as well as limited direct communication with prospective customers related specifically to proposals.  This position reports directly to the RFP department manager.

Essential Functions:

Completes RFPs on time within reasonable work load standards

Completes RFPs with accurate information:Ensures RFP questions are answered completely and in the order the question is asked.Provides answers that do not contain more information than the question asks for.Produces responses with proper grammar and sentence structure.

Provides professional communications both internally and externally.

Provides productive use of RFP database/ toolsMaintains the database with up to date and accurate informationMaintains RFP tracking tools.

Actively participates in ongoing training and industry knowledge programsIndustry knowledge and training on the RFP tools is actively gained and appliedRFP machine functions are learned and applied

Conducts ongoing coordination and updates with sales staff.Gains history with pending RFPs including known existing relationships and prospect items of interest.Works to determine other information pertinent to the RFP process with other sales associates. Provides follow-up with the sales person conducting the RFP review in order to improve future RFP responses.

Actively participates in ongoing RFP department improvementProvides ideas for improved efficiency or RFP completion methods

Job Qualifications:College degree or equivalent experience in a related field.History in sales and marketing preferredStrong written and verbal skillsWorking knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Outlook Multi-tasking and project management experienceEnjoys a team oriented and fast paced environment Energetic and motivated
