Summary of Position

 

The Regional VP is the key person overseeing marketing research projects among a cross functional client services team. Many projects are based on our standardized methods for concept testing, sorts, product testing, advertising testing and trackers, though customization is always needed.  This person will head a Client Services team and provide co-leadership with the Regional SVP to support the Sales team.  He/she will assist Sr. AMs in the management of the workflow of the Client Services team including reviewing/editing proposals written by Sales, developing the survey instrument and analysis plan, and providing an insightful, actionable report to the client. Clients are senior marketing research/marketing personnel at Fortune 500 companies, in consumer package goods. 

 

The Regional VP will be on point to lead several company-wide, client services initiatives and provide strategic recommendations and input on regional office matters. The Regional VP will report to the Florham Park, NJ-based Sr. Vice President of Sales.

 

Responsibilities

 

? Teams with SVP of Sales to provide strategic direction across functional teams and office

? Leads/motivates/coaches cross functional Client Services team

? Ensures career paths for each team member is developed and communicated

? Interfaces with and presents to key clients to build and solidify MarketTools? relationship

? Reviews reports to ensure quality and that results are insightful and actionable

? Enables/Implements continuous change management to better service to Clients and process overall

? Communicates well with Fortune 500 clients and internal employees

? Leads global Client Services initiatives  Qualifications

 

? Proven, effective manager and mentor of cross functional, matrix teams

? Prior success delivering on sales/revenue goals

? 10-15 years quantitative marketing research experience  

? Supplier consumer marketing research experience desirable

? Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, both internally and externally within Client organizations

? Proactive, creative approach to solving business issues

? Bachelor?s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.  MBA a strong plus.

? Able to work in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
