Research Manager

Computer Shopper Magazine / SX2 Media Labs seeks a Research Manager to join its growing team. The Research Manager will manage and implement all marketing research functions, including primary, quantitative and qualitative research, and secondary analysis for advertising, and editorial usage and strategic planning initiatives. Daily duties include fulfillment of research requests for ad sales support, and managing relationships with research providers.

Desired Skills & Experience: B.A. with a strong understanding of research processes and computer assisted research methods. 3+ years experience managing quantitative and qualitative primary research projects, preferably in a print or online advertising environment. Experienced with the leading syndicated media studies and services (MRI, IntelliQuest CIMS, IMS), online research services (InsightExpress, GMI) a plus. Must have strong computer skills (MS Office), and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple initiatives on concurrent deadlines. This position requires the ability to not only report numbers but also to focus on crafting a story from the data in the form of presentations and proposals. Applicant will need strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage and oversee vendor execution of research fieldwork with preliminary data analysis in order to be successful in this position.
