Research Specialist, Finance Research - 1687

J.D. Power and Associates is a global marketing information firm that conducts independent and unbiased surveys of customer satisfaction, product quality and buyer behavior. Today, the firm's services include industry-wide syndicated studies; proprietary (commissioned) tracking studies; media studies; forecasting; and training services, as well as business operations analyses, and consultancies on customer satisfaction trends. We are currently seeking a Research Specialist, Finance Research, in our Troy, MI location. Key Goals of this position:Assist in the production of proprietary and syndicated research results, on-time, error free (accountable for quality), and within budget. Assist in associate development and administrative detail (setting goals, monitoring performance) Successfully use, Excel, mTab, Online Portal Analyzer, and SPSS (or SAS) for supplemental proprietary research data runs. Maintain databases in Excel, SPSS, Access, etc. Participate in marketing and sales efforts. Enhance client service role of J.D. Power and Associates’ F&I practice area.

Education/Experience Required:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Two or more years of solid research experience (using phone, mail, internet methods) or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Demonstrated experience using Excel (macros preferred), PowerPoint (data graph creation), and Word (or similar software applications) Solid mathematical (statistical), analytical and writing skills required. Financial services background a plus.
