Retail Advertising Print Program Manager

Simmons Bedding Company, maker of the world famous Beautyrest mattress, is actively recruiting for a Retail Advertising Print Program Manager in our Marketing department at our corporate office located in the Concourse Office Park in North Atlanta

 

 

Summary:  Develop and manage the Simmons retail advertising print and distribution program. Includes coordinating and directing the ad creative and promotions through collaborative efforts with the Marketing Brand Directors, Sales, Advertising, Co-op Advertising, Legal, external print vendor, as well as external designers.

 

Responsibilities:q Retail Advertising Print Programs Develop, execute, and manage the retail advertising print program to include yearly marketing campaigns of branded and event print circular advertising  Manage outside print vendor Manage the development of the annual Retail Advertising Plan book(s)  Obtain Marketing and Legal approval of circular ads for co-op compliance, correct brand positioning and most recent art/logos, etc. Develop and manage circular promotion programs and event calendarEffectively communicate and educate sales force and dealers on programs (including resources/tools). This involves both written and oral communication, to include field and corporate presentations of programManage circular invoice processing of Simmons Buy Group participants in conjunction with Dir of Co-Op to insure proper accounting treatment and reporting, based on contractual agreementsManage creative and printing execution invoices from print vendor to insure proper accounting treatment of the invoices, as well as program compliance of the advertising paid for by SimmonsCommunicate estimated spend per month to Director of Co-op and VP/Corporate Controller for accrual purposesManage Retail Advertising budgetCoordinate and obtain monthly usage reports for print program based on established reporting requirementsContinue to develop and change the program to meet the needs of dealers and Sales, while not compromising the branding and messaging of Simmons.Work in conjunction with Director of Co-op, Sales and Marketing to review and develop annual co-op guidelines, special programs and campaigns.Other projects as needed and determined by Director of Co-op Advertising

 

 

Additional Responsibilities:Be the point person for all advertising requests for the Design Department Develop special advertising programs for top accounts as identified by Sales and Marketing management.Develop and manage retail incentive programs, consumer promotions and rebates, where co-op could be applied for dealer participation.Develop direct mail marketing program to test and potentially execute on a national, regional, and/or customer basis.

 

Requirements/Skills:

Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems. Experience with Photoshop and Quark.

College Degree required; 3-5 year related work experience preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, creative problem solver, excellent customer service skills, printing background and experience helpful, detail oriented
