We are currently accepting resumes for a Retail Sales & Event Specialist. This position will develop partnerships; coordinate trainings on all Time Warner Cable (TWC) products/services; and support the effort of TWC sales in all retail and/or value-added reseller environments, to include TWC events and service centers.  This position will be responsible for the maintenance of a retail/reseller presence in the TWC San Antonio market for all TWC products/services and the interface between that channel and TWC San Antonio.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

? High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. 

? College degree preferred.

? Two years experience as a manufacturer's representative or distributor training/support specialist for consumer products preferred. 

? Minimum of two years experience in the coordination of events and supervising employees required. 

? Experience and knowledge of high-speed data technology and two years of college preferred. 

? Knowledge of the local technology and consumer electronics market also preferred. 

? Knowledge of and skill in using Internet services and products, specifically e-mail, browsers, search engines, multimedia players, games, and educational products preferred.

? Experience in producing and delivering sales and/or training presentations desired. 

? Skills in logistics, timing and coordination of a number of elements, research, and reporting of findings preferred. 

? Must be a pleasant and outgoing person able to get along well with a broad range of people in a self-starting work environment.  Must have a valid Texas driver's license and an excellent driving record.  Must possess skills for communicating orally with others in an effective manner.

? Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

 

MAJOR JOB DUTIES:

? Deliver national ISP marketing materials to all retail, reseller, and TWC service center locations. 

? Conduct national ISP marketing training to all retail/reseller/TWC service center staff. 

? Coordinate national ISP marketing initiatives via retailers/TWC service centers in this market. 

? Identify and recruit additional local retail/reseller outlets, at management?s direction. 

? Develop and conduct TWC product/service sales training for all retail/reseller/TWC service center staff. 

? Inspect and report to retail sales marketing manager about the condition of retail/reseller/TWC service center presentations and materials. 

? Research data and prepare reports of sales activity at retail/reseller/TWC service center locations. 

? Set and monitor projected sales objectives by location and report on a regular basis. 

? Coordinate problem resolution and problem documentation at all retail/reseller/TWC service center locations.  Assist with the development of collateral materials in English and Spanish for retail/reseller/TWC service centers locations. 

? Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and enthusiastically, work independently, and handle field inquiries. 

? Monitor retail advertising for retail/reseller/TWC service center locations and verify products are presented properly. 

? Coordinate cross promotions and advertising with the retail sales manager. 

? Complete other work necessary to enhance sales and marketing development at retail/reseller/TWC service center locations. 

? Develop and coordinate implementation of sales, support, and delivery procedures with the retail/reseller/TWC service center locations. 

? Show an increase in overall sales and per unit sales for each quarter. 

? Ensure TWC products/services are visibly present in all venues at all times. 

? Complete retail and trade show agreements in a timely manner. 

? Acquire and maintain up-to-date Time Warner Cable product knowledge, including product and service features and benefits, programming, promotions, etc. 

? Be able to provide clear information about cable products and services using appropriate persuasive communication skills. 

? Ensure that retail/reseller staff representing Time Warner Cable maintains a positive and professional atmosphere at the retail/reseller/TWC service locations through personal appearance and in the overall appearance and cleanliness of the retail location. 

 

 

OTHER COMMENTS: 

While performing the duties of this position the employee will be required to sit, stand, drive, use standard office equipment, lift up to 25lbs., sit at a computer for long periods of time and move and setup computers and monitors.
