SEA_Director, Marketing - Digital Video Products

Position Summary
 


Responsible for leading a team of professionals in the marketing of the camcorder and DVD product categories including the launch of Blu-Ray high definition optical format models.  Key duties involve product planning, marketing strategy, sales planning, inventory management, marketing programs and pricing, Results are measured by attainment of the assigned sales goals, profit goals, market share and average price index (API) objectives.  Includes supervision of two direct reports and operating within a matrix organization.


 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze market dynamics and industry trends
Develop and implement annual and mid-term marketing plans based on core technology, brand goals, market research and competitive analysis
Propose new product line-up for US market to headquarters
Drive new model launch plans including collateral sales support materials, promotions, and retail events.
Drive national marketing efforts through interactions with regional and district sales managers and key accounts in the areas of merchandise assortments, retail positioning and promotional events
Prepare and deliver marketing presentations to sales organization and key account buyers
Work closely with the Sales Operation Department, assisting in monthly sales forecast and product allocations
Handle consumer / trade press relationships

Required Basic Qualifications


 

BS degree in Marketing or a related business discipline; MBA a plus. 
Minimum of 10 years consumer electronics marketing experience
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience 
High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)


Willingness to travel domestically and to Korea approximately 30%
