Position Purpose

Partner with the Director of Signing and In-Store Environment to drive the development and communication of innovative, tactical programs for store merchandising, visual presentation, in-store signing/environment, and new store concepts, layout and design. Partners with departmental merchants in product line reviews, concept and design, merchandise presentation, event coordination and marketing development. Acts as a liaison between the Director and the stores regarding merchandising presentation. Partners with Store Planning on all concepts, layouts and design initiatives. Plans and manages all merchandising capital expense projects



Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities


Creates and coordinates SSC merchant-to-division communications

Distributes and enforces standard merchandise presentation policies, practices, and guidelines in stores.

Interacts with peers in merchandising, marketing, supply chain, real estate and division operations to
develop and drive merchandise presentation strategies. Monitors effectiveness of visual merchandising strategy and makes recommendations back to Global Product Merchant.

Identifies the latest innovations in merchandising presentation and store design through review of
competition and through partnerships with the vendor community and communicates them to the Director.

Partners with the divisions and travels to market store visits.

Identifies divisional training needs and provides training for the stores and buyers on presentation standards for their respective departments.



Nature and Scope


Typically reports to Director, Signing and In-Store Environment

No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).



Environmental Job Requirements

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Examples include: telephone operator and file clerk. Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time



Physical Job Requirements

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.





Minimum Qualifications

Must be eighteen years of age or older

Must pass the Drug Test

Must pass the Background Check

Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable



Education Required

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
