 Conquest Business Media is an international B2B media company providing advertising, sponsorship and information strategies to organizations looking to target industrial and manufacturing companies is looking for a Sales Director/Events for its expanding events business.

 

Sales Director of Events

In this role you will be responsible for sourcing new clients, selling sponsorship and exhibition packages for our national conferences and events as well as develop innovative events/sponsorship ideas for future events. 

 

The Sales Director of Events will manage all activities relating to the sales, marketing, audience acquisition, operations, sourcing, logistics and execution of each conference and event.  You will work closely with the Editor to develop content and materials for our expanding portfolio of events, recruit speakers and moderators, and coach participants in how to deliver effective, engaging and informative sessions.

 

Responsibilities

? Assessment of event requirements, resources, potential obstacles and opportunities.

? Vendor sourcing, negotiation and procurement to include development of new vendor relationships.

? Manage and monitor expenditure in line with targeted goals and defined budgets ensuring profitability.

 

 

Skills/Experience

 

? Strong project management and communication skills with comprehensive understanding of all major aspects of event production; from design through shipping.

? Proven background in sales with previous experience in sponsorship sales; must be able to produce results in a high pressure environment.

? Superior influencing, negotiation and presentation skills.

? Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, meeting multiple deadlines
