Sales Ops Project Manager

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:
Manages ProMO or STAR process improvement projects within the department or in a cross funtional setting.



Works with appropriate MSO, Specialty, Primary Care, and Hospital Pharma business units, Medical, Regulatory, Legal and IT point people to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, schedules, and deliverables.

Develops and executes a work plan in a manner consistent with good project management practices for handling issues, escalating risks, and providing status to key stakeholders.

Plans and provides task leadership to members of cross-functional project teams.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System by doing the following:
-Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding, and, staffing of available resources for various phases of project
-Formulate, manage, and define scope and objectives of project
-Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks
-Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project personnel
-Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
-Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required
-Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation
-Prepare project reports for management and stakeholders
-Resolve problems and provide functional advice when required.
-Coordinate project activities with commercial stakeholders
-Inform key business area stakeholders of project progress to ensure satisfaction of business objectives
-Manage projects within assigned areas from inception to successful implementation:
-Define project objectives, scope, and level of effort
-Develop project strategies and plans, and identify the methods and tools required for the project
-Kick off projects; keep them on track and within budget
-Monitor progress against plan
- Report status to management and/or project hierarchy
-Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle

Qualifications
Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (e.g. CFR 210/211, cGMP) specifically,

-Ability to manage internal and external projects from inception to successful implementation
-Understanding of how to leverage business processes, structures, and systems for competitive advantage
-Solid understanding of project management processes, including needs assessment, requirements gathering, analysis and design, implementation, and operational sustainment
-Strong process analysis, design, and implementation experience
-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
-Experience working with and/or managing endors
-Skill in conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting them to management and stakeholders
-Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
-Strong customer focus and ability to mange client expectations
-Ability to communicate needs and schedules to stakeholders, as well as ensure that plans are in place and standards are adhered to
-Solid project management skills with ability to multitask and manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment
-Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and functional expertise to refine existing business processes or implementing new approaches to improve effeciency and effectiveness of operations.
-Demonstrate ability to lead and motivate team and to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
-Ability to present and explain functionally complex information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
-Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels
-Ability to operate under a dual reporting relationship (MSO and Sales, MSO and IT,etc.)
-Four to six years of progressive broad-based functional business experience, preferably in a Sales or Marketing support related positions.
-Three or more years of related business area experience, with proven commitment to problem solving
-Strong management and development skills
-Two to three years of demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience during which more than one of the following occurred:
-Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management
-Demonstrated leadership of multidiscipline, high performance work teams/groups
-Demonstrated competency in project management and the executions of multiple or large projects
-Successfully developed and implemented new work processes or process improvements
-Gained experience working with customers to develop solutions to complex business problems
- Demonstrated high level of expertise and customer satisfaction is a sales/marketing/IT role
Bachelor's degree; MBA degree or equivalent related project or functional experience is desirable.
