Sales & Marketing Manager

 

Basic Function:Responsible for all business development and sales activity for Suburban Sports Group.

 

Desired Characteristics:  Professional appearance. High level of both oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills to enhance overall productivity of a fast paced
work setting. Experience with computers. Knowledge and passion for the sport(s) of hockey and/or figure skating.

 



Primary Duties and Responsibilities including but not limited to: Establishes strategic marketing and sales plans to achieve corporate objectives
for products and services. Sells advertisements for all Suburban entities. Develops and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short
and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization. Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements;
preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and
initiating corrective actions. Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing,
implementing and evaluating advertising, merchandising and trade promotion
programs. Researches, analyzes and monitors financial, technological and demographic
factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive
activity. Plans and oversees advertising and promotional activities including print, online
and direct mail. Serves as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns. Develops, prioritizes and implements project plans, including customer promotion
programs, press releases, trade show activities and sales meetings. Assists in creating internal and external promotional pieces. Monitors competitive products/services and marketing activities. Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product/service concepts and
provides feedback for future development. Develops marketing and sales action plans. Improves organizational marketability and profitability by researching, identifying
and capitalizing on market opportunities and coordination of new product/service
development. Sustains rapport with key accounts. Provides information to management by collecting, analyzing and summarizing
data and trends. Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product
lines, promotional materials and events.
