Search Engine Marketer (SEM)

 

The marketing professional we seek is a proactive highly analytical online customer acquisition specialist who will create, implement, track, analyze and optimize TechTarget paid search marketing campaigns across multiple search engines. This person must be familiar with managing PPC programs in house and be comfortable working with cross-functional teams.

 

Essential Job Functions: Responsible for paid search program success through solid bidding strategies and effective key word management on pay-per-click search engines; manage positioning to meet ROI targetsWork with business analytics team to design and perform tests to increase click-through rates, and conversion ratesWork in concert with the online marketing staff to increase member and lead conversion (registration/clicks) performance ratios through the development of custom landing pages and optimization of product detail pages; Continually monitor, test, analyze and retest messaging leading to increased click/impression ratios Provide detailed analysis of key metrics and program tracking techniques in order to identify, recommend and implement program changes to increase overall search performance efficiencyKeep current on the latest trends in the search marketing space

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Requires 1-3 years experience managing pay-per-click search engine, paid inclusion, or organic search marketing campaigns. Requires strong knowledge of at least several areas of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) including: Keyword analysis, paid inclusion, pay per-click (PPC), Search Engine and Crawler Technology, ranking and site traffic measurement.Experience using analytics tools such as HitBox (or other web analytics solution) Well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAdvanced Excel skillsQuantitative skills including the ability to monitor budgets, understand return on investment and select relative data for analyzing future actions
