Senior Account Executive - Public Affairs/ Corporate

The Los Angeles office of Weber Shandwick office is seeking a Senior Account Executive for its Public Affairs/ Corporate practice.

The Senior Account Executive will manage the flow of work and information to the account team and posses an in-depth understanding of business, industry, and PR issues. This individual must have excellent writing and media relations skills. S/he must also have strong editing and research skills and be able to consistently meet deadlines while juggling multiple priorities on this high profile account.

The ideal candidate will have either experience, or strong interest and commitment, in environmental issues. Interest AND experience in corporate, public affairs, social marketing is also necessary.

Outstanding writing (press releases, letters, articles, and white papers) and research skills are required, along with an outstanding pitching record and pitching, and to be a self-starter who can work directly with clients.

Requirements: Strong writing, editing, oral communications and research skills Avid daily reading of both local and nation news publications and sources - a news junkie. Proven media relations skills Attention to detail and quality, problem solving capabilities. S/he will also be required to demonstrate the potential to lead projects and anticipate client and team needs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, on-line services, Media Map and Dow Jones News Retrieval A BA or BS, and a minimum of 3-4 years related professional experience.

The ideal candidate will have either experience, or strong interest and commitment, in environmental issues. Interest AND experience in corporate, public affairs, social marketing is also necessary. Ability and willingness to take initiative and drive assignments highly sought.
