Senior Account Planner

Hill, Holliday is a full service communications agency offering general advertising, media planning & buying, relationship marketing, interactive, design, and public relations.

 

We are expanding our New York team and are seeking a senior account planner to work with several of our clients.  The ideal candidate will have worked on really creative brands in a planning focused agency. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

The Senior Account Planner will take the lead role in driving strategic thinking on several of the agency?s accounts, including its largest.  He/she will be the source of vital insights into the market, the client, and the consumer and be instrumental in driving the creative process.  Abilities critical to this person?s success are:

 

?  Building rapport with account management, media ? and most importantly, creative.

?  Passionately presenting and defending your views ? while paying attention those of others ? with the goal of attaining the ultimate truth.

?  Being skilled in the art of persuasion.

?  Being analytical and intuitive in interpreting information from a variety of sources and effectively presenting it to colleagues and clients.

?  Possessing a self-confidence that allows you to speak with conviction, not ego.

 

Key Qualifications:

 At least seven years of planning experience on significant, creative brands; with experience as the lead planner on some of them. Success in building strong, trusted relationships with creatives. Demonstrated ability to write briefs that give clear direction to creatives. Experience managing primary and secondary research initiatives and teasing out the most salient insights. Experience evaluating the effects of communications in the marketplace.
