Sr. Conference Producer, Enterprise IT Events

 

IDG World Expo is seeking a Senior Conference Producer to plan and develop the educational components of IDG World Expo's enterprise IT events. This position is the primary voice of the events to the community and has the opportunity to shape the direction of the events. 

 

In this position, the Conference Producer will

? Research the viability of conference topics by conducting in-depth research with senior level industry figures to determine what subjects are of interest to the market

? Develop all conference content including themes, tracks and sessions

? Identify and contact potential speakers, mainly by phone, and recruit them onto the program

? Negotiate speaker fees and expenses and staying within guidelines set down by Brand Manager

? Run the conference on the day of the event

? Solicit and analyze feedback from conference attendees to drive changes that improve the overall quality, relevance and value of the conference.

? Set, monitor and measure performance against such metrics as conference attendance and revenue goals

? Lead the program committee

? Maintain and cultivate relationships with industry experts,

? Represent the brand at external client meetings and at industry/competitive gatherings

? Follow trends in industry, track competitive events and differentiate brands

? Drive thought leadership in the market

 

The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA, 5-7 years of conference experience, a demonstrated record of building conference content, proven research skills, excellent attention to detail and time management, exceptional creativity, a devotion to deadlines, and excellent communication skills.  Knowledge of the IT market is a plus.  Some travel is required.
