Essential Job Functions
Provides KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) marketing support for corporate and investment banking and capital markets services to middle market corporate executives in 8 industry sectors.
Works closely with Team Leader and Project Managers to develop, communicate, execute, and measure marketing initiatives for Institutional Bank, Institutional Equities, Debt Capital Markets, Syndicated Finance businesses.
Contributes to KeyBanc Capital Markets brand building activities across all Institutional lines of business (LOB?s). Supports businesses through advertising, direct marketing (direct mail and email) programs, events and collateral. Overall knowledge of the process for development of creative strategy and related marketing materials is critical. Advanced marketing project management skills are mandatory.
Builds and sustains excellent working relationships for successful marketing partnership with KeyBanc Capital Markets LOB managers (our clients), Key?s agencies and marketing associates in support of LOB business strategy, marketing project initiatives and goals.
Participates in continuous improvement of marketing initiatives. Actively seeks out, shares and applies `Best Practices? to maximize return on and impact of our marketing dollar spend.
Plans, develops, executes and measures integrated marketing programs designed to deliver results against a specific segment of clients and/or business objectives.
?Understands clients? markets, business model, business strategy and goals to deliver insights on how marketing can support their business.
?Drives marketing program development and implementation, and communicates client acquisition and retention strategies, brand image/awareness campaigns and time frames to internal clients and partners in a timely manner.
?Focuses on rigorous results reporting discipline with dedication to measurement.
?Ensures that KBCM brand advertising and direct marketing communication materials deliver the desired messages to target audiences and achieve desired results.
PLANNING & EXECUTION
Works with internal and external teams to develop individual program plans linked to business initiatives and is accountable for the timely execution within approved budget. Manages the day-to-day relationship with agency partners for assigned businesses, develops comprehensive business cases and presents to Senior Marketing team for approval, conducts start of work meetings and completes post mortem reviews.
Creates and effectively implements advertising and direct marketing programs with defined measurable goals, communication objectives, marketing tactics and timing. Communicates delivery timelines and defined roles and responsibilities and progress to Team Leader and business partners as appropriate.
Works with in-house staff to develop and manage media plan and insertion schedule. Creates industry-specific ad campaigns and executes according to brand positioning strategy.
Identifies and manages project obstacles/risks, assesses trade-offs, proposes solutions, and escalates to Team Leader and LOB for timely resolution, if necessary. Recommends alternatives to meet established deadlines and remain within budget and potential consequences if not resolved.
Ensures that advertising, KBCM Web site, promotional and printed materials deliver desired messages around our value proposition to target segments to achieve desired results and meet regulatory compliance requirements.
Develops contact strategies and supporting tactics to communicate KBCM?s thought leadership and core competencies to clients and strategic prospects. Collaborates with agency partners and Key?s database marketing professionals to execute on contact strategies and evaluate the effectiveness of the programs through extensive and innovative measurement protocols.
Coordinates and submits KBCM Web site content updates with Program Managers and Key.com Website Management.
MARKET ANALYSIS & RESULTS MEASURMENT
Supports rigorous results reporting discipline to measure return on marketing investments. Prepares post program analysis linking LOB business results to marketing initiatives. Tracks database marketing campaign results of acquisition of new clients and deepened relationships from existing clients for marketing balanced scorecard. Obtains anecdotal feedback from field when formal tracking is not available.
Maintains awareness and knowledge of competitor's products and marketing efforts, reviews client research results, reads trade publications, websites and other literature; shares insights with internal clients on a regular basis.

Drives the creative development process and media planning and placement.
Minimum 7 years marketing experience in a business-to-business environment.
Experience working for (or closely with) an advertising, public relations or direct marketing agency.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
