Right now, we?re hiring a Sr. Manager, Marketing who will be responsible for creating and executing marketing strategy around Chemistry.com, a new approach to dating and connecting people. She/he will be an integral part of the Chemistry management team reporting to the GM of Chemistry.com. The role will focus on customer acquisition strategy and ensuring offering is differentiated in the market. This person will be managing several marketing agencies as well as working closely with people throughout the Match organization on online search and marketing efforts.
Responsibilities:
Lead Marketing efforts, developing plans, effectively executing and tracking tactical marketing programs.
Lead efforts in driving registrations via offline and online strategies.
Develop positioning and branding demonstrating clear differentiation on the site and in the market
Work closely with the offline strategy and media agencies to flawlessly execute and chemistry offline advertising efforts and to integrate promotional opportunities where appropriate.
Understanding of media buying and planning and be the driving force behind the media strategy and rationale.
Manage media analysis, continuously optimize media plan/budget and initiate strategic changes to the media plan.
Ensure that chemistry.com delivers the right messages to our targeted customers via all traditional offline media vehicles and unique non-traditional ?out of the box? branded content media vehicles.
Must work cross-functionally with internal Product, Legal, Development, Research, PR teams and be the expert on the Chemistry.com brand
Analyze the key metrics of the business as related to all marketing activities and recommend changes in tactical and strategic implementation
Point person to make sure all creative is up to chemistry quality standards and all departments understand the strategy and adhere to the messaging.
Maintain marketing budgets, provide weekly forecasts and track the performance and success metrics of internal and external marketing campaigns.
Requirements:
BS or BA in Marketing or related field required; MBA is a plus
5-7 years experience in consumer based marketing.
2 years experience in e-commerce marketing.
An assertive, effective, communicator with a take charge attitude and ability to identify the most critical opportunities.
An excellent multi-tasker, extremely detail oriented and able to thrive in an environment characterized by growth and change.
Must be energetic, collaborative and solution-oriented.
Candidate must have Client-side brand management experience, including managing an agency.
Ability to analyze key business and metrics and make appropriate strategic recommendations
Excellent strategic thinking, finance, leadership, communication and project execution skills.
