Job Description: SENIOR MANAGER, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
GLOBAL HOME
JOB OBJECTIVE:
Deliver unique product design and creative solutions to build Disney Home branded statements. From concept development to branding and merchandising this position will execute compelling creative working with Category, Marketing and Sales.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
Develop creative strategies based on research, market and retail trends
Lead HOME product development in all Hard goods
Develop product and merchandise statements for Disney Home
Translate market trends into product
Manage creative of Disney branded statements at retail
Oversee product design from concept through product development including approvals
Manage creative consistency of Disney artwork and character storytelling
Integrate knowledge of the marketplace into designs with Disney characters
Work with project management on project scope, timeline and deliverables
Present design concepts to Retail Buyers, Licensees and Disney management
Develop design guidelines for new initiatives
Manage a team of 2-3 Product Development Managers
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with consumer products companies preferred
Home category / juvenile category experience desired
Product design and 3D illustration
Retail and display design
Must be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and CAD
EDUCATION:
8-10 years product development experience in the Home Textiles, Furnishings, retail and manufacturing industry, or related field is essential
Emphasis in 2D & 3D Design
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Exceptional creative work displaying quality and variety
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Temperament to work under tight deadlines
A team player and problem solver
Self-starter & tenacious
