Job Description

Polycom the global leader in Unified Collaborative Communications is seeking a full-time Senior Marketing Manager responsible for the Corporate Marketing Automation and database marketing initiatives to support Polycom's core marketing programs. This individual will report to the Director of Worldwide Marketing Communications and focus on executing the global Marketing Automation strategy. The initial emphasis will be to develop a global marketing database in support of the corporate Marketing Automation initiative for both promotional programs and web-based campaigns for on-going customer and prospect data acquisition. This person will work with technical teams in other regional and functional areas of the company to ensure backend databases and software are enabled to meet corporate objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as a trusted marketing automation and data advisor to the Marketing managers worldwide. Create a strong acquisition and retention customer strategy. Integrate the strategy into the company and into our marketing programs to further the knowledge we have of our installed customers and prospects to enrich our database. Become a CRM Subject Matter Expert on our loyalty and other marketing initiatives. Integrate CRM best practices into marketing campaigns. Construct campaigns that attract users into our database and that send a relevant and rewarding message. Effectively leverage promotional events, online events, corporate sponsors/partners, contests and sweepstakes as a means of acquiring new customers and collecting more information on existing customers. Partner with the Online Marketing team to incorporate strategic data capture and up-sell initiatives into viral marketing programs and product web pages. Manage and optimize data collection. Manage how data is used throughout the company (for marketing, research, product development/ production purposes).Further integrate technology into current business practices. Identify and implement process improvements to enable a successful Marketing Automation strategy and credible data collection.Be a well-organized and respected project manager running with multiple projects at one time, collaborating with cross-functional teams and reporting to management on project status, issues and performance reporting. Manage project changes and proactively escalate risk, cost, scope, and schedule issues. Ensure formal documentation is produced for assigned projects and generate milestone status reports. Collaborate with international team members. Proactively manage project budgets and schedules and escalate issues in a timely manner. Manage status meetings with project team members to assure delivery within time, scope, and on budget.

 

Job Requirements

? Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, and 5 to 8 years progressive experience in database management, customer analytics, loyalty marketing and/or CRM work.

? Experience with complex marketing databases and Salesforce.com is strongly preferred.

? Experience implementing Siebel Marketing solutions is preferred.

? Working knowledge of email marketing software or other similar email tools.

? Experience with planning and/or managing data acquisition and loyalty marketing programs.

? Relevant experience incorporating promotions into CRM initiatives.

? Experience in high-profile and worldwide company projects.

? Excellent written and oral communications; interpersonal skills essential.

? Organized, efficient, and attentive to detail.

? Demonstrated ability to train and coach marketing teams.

? Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

? Experience working across organizational boundaries on a local and global basis a plus.

? Possess the ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, accomplish work, perform complex tasks, and schedules, and direct others in the project that meet business needs.

? Have the ability to clearly and simply communicate.
