Senior Marketing Director

American Heart Association is seeking a Senior Marketing Director to implement marketing communications activities for Go Red for Women, Alliance for a Healthier Generation, Power to End Stroke, and Start! causes. This position is responsible for supervising the two Marketing Directors and providing marketing support to the Austin and San Antonio Communications Marketing Director positions. Responsibilities also include executing the affiliate cause marketing plans within local markets and for working with other market-based staff, particularly with the market communications directors. This includes working with the Affiliate?s Director of Cause Initiatives, the Metro Director and with the Affiliate Vice President to develop, refine and execute market level cause plans that extend and support the national and affiliate strategy for each cause and support national and local sponsors. This position supervises the Marketing Directors as they work in collaboration with communications directors to AHA?s four cause sub-brands in the market and will handle event management and planning, customer engagement, buzz marketing, account management for City Goes Red, and other marketing support for Go Red and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. This position reports to the VP of Marketing and Communications.

Requirements Bachelor?s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related area At least 4 years experience with creating and executing marketing plans, branding, event management and/or integrated marketing communications: preferably 6 years and in a cause-related area Experience supervising professional staff Skilled in written and oral communications Proven ability to sell ideas, projects and programs Volunteer management experience, a plus



Starting salary mid 50s to mid 60s
