Breyer Animal Creations? Seeks a Senior Package Designer

 

Breyer Animal Creations (www.breyerhorses.com) has been making the world?s finest model horses since 1950.  We are a privately-owned business based in northern New Jersey, and are dedicated to creating beautiful model horses and equestrian-themed toys, gifts and collectibles.  Our business is growing, and we are seeking an experienced professional to fill the newly-created position of Senior Package Designer. 

 

Reporting to the Creative Services Director, the Senior Package Designer will design innovative, compelling packages, displays and collateral to enhance our product lines and meet our marketing objectives.  Duties will include: creating package and display die lines and graphics that enhance product and can be manufactured affordably; communicating with domestic and overseas vendors to ensure smooth transfer of files; managing workload to meet deadlines;  reviewing proofs and package samples; maintaining product branding and ensuring all art meets Breyer?s style guide standards; keeping abreast of trends and present new ideas; and assisting with leading and educating junior package design staff.



 

The successful candidate will posses:

 At least 10 years experience, including a minimum of 5 years in the toy, gift or collectibles industry  Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience, and a portfolio of work to illustrate skills and competencyExpert-level user of design software, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, QuarkDetail-oriented, with superior organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and juggle shifting priorities
