Senior Product Manager - Threat Service

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Product Manager will work directly with customers and partners to define and deliver service capabilities required by the customers for successful business deployment. They will be responsible for defining and executing product roadmap strategies for the implementation and delivery of a threat service. They will work closely with cross-functional teams in the organization, possibly in remote locations, to deliver service capabilities required by strategic customers in McAfee's target markets. The Product Manager will work with Sales and Services organizations to maximize revenue generated from the assigned product areas (a service in this case) as well as ensure the success of customers.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Successfully written PRDs and MRDs for leading software solutions, preferably in the enterprise space
- PM experience with defining and guiding the evolution of a service (vs. a product)
- Successfully launched new software products (or preferably services) to the enterprise market
- Lead product feature requirements development
- Expertise working with CSO/CIO level staff at Fortune 500-type companies in defining Risk and Vulnerability Management Policies
- Working knowledge of threat services, the Risk Management Life Cycle process & Practices, vulnerability assessment
- Proven ability to define software product and/or services strategy
- Proven track record of attaining cross-functional consensus and delivery of goals on time
- Experience with security software is desired but not required

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

- 4 years of security industry experience foucsing on risk management or system / network security
- 6 years of enterprise software product management or Mgr level experience managing information security risk management projects at a Big-5 Consulting or security outsourcing service provider a plus
- Must possess business analysis skills and the ability to translate business planning into product execution
- Knowledge of management solutions required and security preferred
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions; excellent presentation skills and the ability to adapt messaging to target audience
- Proven ability to influence across an organization without direct hierarchical ownership of teams or products
- Demonstrated ability to turn a deep understanding of customer?s security and business concerns into product requirements and product vision
- Ability to present to both highly technical audiences as well as non-technical, business focused Individuals
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Computer Science or a related field. MBA a plus
- Good grasp of P&L concepts in order to run the product line
- Travel 20% of the time
