Senior Vice President, Corporate Practice

Fleishman-Hillard, recently recognized by The Holmes Report as ?International Agency of the Year,? has an immediate opening for an energetic, self-starting, Senior Vice President to join our corporate communications practice group in our San Francisco office. This is an exciting career opportunity for an experienced public relations counselor who has a strong financial and corporate communications background and wants to pursue new clients in the financial services area and work with a dynamic team on an existing client in the energy sector. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with collaborative teams on new business, corporate positioning and reputation, financial communications, litigation support, crisis and issues management.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Responsibilities include building a financial services and corporate client portfolio, providing strategic counsel and developing plans for existing clients.

 

Qualifications:

 

?  10+ years of experience in corporate communications, with an emphasis on financial communications, investor relations, litigation and crisis communication.

?  Aggressive new business developer with a successful track record.

?  Strong strategic thinker and planner, with a proven track record in corporate messaging and positioning.

?  Excellent writing ability with extensive experience in all forms of corporate and executive communication, from business media experience to executive visibility and coaching.

?  A combination of agency and corporate experience is ideal, though not essential.

?  Solid knowledge of business media.

?  A proven understanding of the issues surrounding the management of people and communication.

?  Demonstrated experience executing public relations plans and the ability to draft and implement strategic public relations programs within budget.

?  Proven ability in developing compelling proposals and presenting them effectively and persuasively.

?  Knowledge of the energy sector an asset but not essential.

?  M&A and IPO experience would be an asset but not essential.

?  Ability to work well within a team environment.
