Server Market Development Manager - Distribution Channel
Position Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Manage market development activities for the AMD Server Processor business unit, focusing on worldwide distribution channel support, work with worldwide distribution channel sales teams and channel partners to drive customer acquisition and design win activities in the channel.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
Support AMD sales organization and channel partners in the customer acquisition and design-win process for AMD server processor products. Communicate AMD server processor roadmaps, features/benefits, competitive positioning and create/deliver presentations to OEM and channel customer management. Develop financial models and ROI analysis to show benefits of using AMD. Train sales personnel. Identify new trends and opportunities, and help specify new product requirements with internal strategic marketing and engineering teams. Assist in business plan forecast development, and identify, track, and drive opportunities and issue resolution to exceed the plan.
Qualifications:
Technical BS degree and 8 years+ experience desired, MBA a plus. Experience marketing high technology product to customers desired, with a good understanding of server distribution channel market dynamics, server design, and server market trends. Experience working with large sales organizations and making customer presentations to executive level audiences. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
