DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position will have primary responsibility for the development, implementation and management of numerous SMB demand generation plans. Candidate will be responsible for working with a team of marketing strategists in developing and managing marketing projects that drive deeper customer knowledge and enhance marketing metrics, including, but not limited to: acquisition of new customers, reduction of churn, increased cross-sell and up-sell, deeper customer relationships, deeper knowledge behind customer behaviors, attitudinal and behavioral loyalty interrelation, increased multi-product penetration, increased acquisition rates, higher customer satisfaction, better customer knowledge of McAfee products & services, and enhanced marketing ROI. The role will focus on:
? Development of SMB demand generation plans and activities from inception to execution. The position must have strong familiarity with:
Multi-touch campaigns (email/direct mail)
Webcasts
Seminar series
Events/Tradeshows
Incentives/programs/offer development
Multi-agency and vendor management for campaign development and execution
Manage budgets
Co-op marketing programs
? Developing partner marketing assistance kits that include telemarketing scripts, banner advertising, flyers, and other partner support materials
? Campaign reporting using available and necessary analysis tools, techniques and software solutions necessary to create an SMB-wide approach toward segment/persona-driven analysis, marketing and evaluation.
The position should have a strong understanding of building and applying messaging to campaigns and be prepared to take a leadership role in assembling the right messaging, the right support materials, and the right agency involvement to get the job done.
Must have the ability to work with Product Marketing teams to ensure product messaging is consistent in campaigns, work with necessary IT, Siebel or other technical positions concerning databases and analysis issues and interfaces with marketing and other divisional leadership on customer segmentation, analysis & marketing management and overall behavior tracking.
? Will be called upon to provide strategic insight and direction regarding segment-based marketing, and, reporting and action-focused recommendations to field and corporate marketing, senior management and other key stakeholders
? Keep abreast of key industry and marketing trends, including competitive campaigns, partner programs and offer/incentives.
? Provide leadership, inspiration, enthusiasm, esprit de corps and a commitment to McAfee success on a daily basis and at the same time, have fun, while providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The SMB Campaign Manager will have a direct and impactful role on the development, design and implementation of customer and partner marketing programs at McAfee. Based in Plano, Texas, the position will manage and provide hands-on support to McAfee?s extensive marketing programs across North America. This role will involve extensive experience in marketing design, targeting, segmentation, management, reporting and analysis. The position should have a clear understanding of the project through all stages of the analysis process: modeling, interpretation of results, preparation of findings, and presentation. As a key member of the field marketing team at McAfee, this person will utilize their extensive experience to drive customer acquisition, partner support, up-sell, cross-sell and loyalty marketing initiatives. Position reports to the Senior Manager, Field Marketing Communications and is a key member of the Vice President of Field Marketing?s team.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
Must have extensive ability and experience in SMB marketing campaign management, tracking, reporting and strategic recommendations to drive improved results.
? Must thoroughly understand the fundamentals of message development, incentive based offers, and their application in segment marketing: ie directing the right offer and right message, to the right audience.
? Must thoroughly understand channel marketing, marketing financial evaluation, measurement techniques, promotional marketing, classical response testing techniques and keys to success
? Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
? Outstanding overall written and oral communications skills with extensive experience providing keen insights and performing formal presentations to senior management
? Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
? Ability to manage creative process, including outside agencies, partners, consultants and vendors
? Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and handle shifting priorities
? Ability to communicate deliverables, timeliness and obstacles to direct management
? Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
? Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
? Ability to manage all phases of a large project from beginning to end with significant autonomy
? Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
? Ability to work independently, but works with others to resolve problems, handle requests or situations
? Technical ability to leverage database tools, such as campaign management software, like Siebel, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret data is a plus. Knowledge of the security software industry, SMB level hardware, software and services also a plus
? Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Business, Management or related field or equivalent business experience. Masters or MBA is a plus..
