Sr. Dir. Public Affrs

As Senior Director, Public Relations, you will serve as the primary public relations council and strategist to executive management of the Bio Pharmaceutical Business Unit concerning key issues that affect the company. You will provide oversight and work with the head of the business unit and key product brand teams (Enbrel) to develop proactive communications programs that help to achieve marketing objectives globally. You will supervise agency activity and program implementation, and will serve as a corporate spokesperson. You will also draft Press Releases, Q&A, Statements and other written material for use with Media.

This position requires a 4-year college degree in Communications, Business or Marketing and a minimum of 15 years experience in corporate public relations at a major Pharmaceutical company or comparable PR agency experience. Media training is preferred. This position requires excellent communication, writing and organizational skills and the ability to handle several projects at once, paying close attention to details. The incumbent must be able to handle work with minimal supervision and have the capability to provide council to senior management based on the industry's best practices.
