Sr. Field Marketing Manager, South East - 4945

 

Job Function & Responsibilities:
Field Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of results-oriented marketing campaigns, deliverables and programs at an area level. This is accomplished by developing and executing programs which support both area sales and WW Marketing goals, to grow the business and enhance the relationship with the area customer communities. This role is specifically to support the South East sales areas, in the promotion of BMC Software?s solutions to key customers and prospects.
- Work closely with South East field sales and Business Development teams on execution of area programs, and implement global and national campaigns in line with area goals
- Work with Americas Programs Marketing and WW Solutions Marketing campaign managers to represent the needs of the South East areas during the development of Americas and/or global campaigns
- Provide measurement of programs as related to driving opportunities, pipeline & revenue, and provide feedback to Worldwide Marketing & Communications on program effectiveness
- Focus on building stronger, tighter relationships with the customer base, and elevating awareness of BMC within the target audience.
- Extend the use of BMC products and services within the installed base, by identifying and leveraging current product usage and buying trends

Skills Required:
- Experience developing and implementing marketing programs at a regional/area level required, as is the ability to formulate plans specifically for an area or vertical market
- Knowledge of, and experience in marketing to, in the South East community is required, as is knowledge of the service management, infrastructure management, ERP, or security/identity management application markets
- Ability to assess business goals, market requirements, customers, challenges, etc. and then use that knowledge for the creation of programs, etc.
- Experience in marketing programs that generate qualified opportunities including direct mail, telemarketing, seminars, trade shows, executive events and online campaigns
- Strong project management skills are a must, to justify the relative values programs to meet area goals
- Meets measurement criteria for each program including registration, attendance, opportunity generation and resulting pipeline revenue goals; measures results from quarter to quarter to demonstrate the programs contribution to field sales success
- Submit all reports on time including status reports, expense reports, budget summaries, marketing plans

- Strong lead generation experience with a bias towards producing & reporting on results
- Strong personality who can get results from those with differing priorities
- Thrives and can adapt within a fast-paced environment with changing priorities & multiple directions
- Team orientation with a positive, can-do attitude
- Occasional travel required (25%), no relocation package associated with this position

Education/Training Required:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent and 4+ years experience required, preferably in an enterprise or IT software sales environment. Masters degree a plus, as is sales experience.
