Sr. Marketing Analyst

The Senior Marketing Analyst will report directly to the VP of Marketing and will support all internal marketing and sales requirements with superior database analytics and reporting.  Candidate must have keen insight and analytical prowess to translate data into intelligence to assist in the formulation of long range plans and strategies. Candidate must also have the ability to influence business decision making with research-based / analytically-sound recommendations.

 

Responsibilities may include but are no limited to:

 Perform all aspects of market and competitive analysis to support VoIP and PrePaid lines of business. Research key industry issues, challenges, trends, topics, and competitive landscape to support development of marketing plans, solutions, and strategies. Identify key metrics and predictive factors that drive customer behavior to both improve the effectiveness of existing product success as well as new product development. Analyze and interpret large data sets, as well as create information and knowledge from the data. Turn market data into market intelligence that will be foundational to making key business decisions about expansion of existing services, new product development and new market opportunities. Plan, develop, coordinate and perform relevant business case analysis with financial justification for new service offerings and enhancements; forecast product and feature usage; forecast revenue; analyze advertising ROIMake new product recommendations based on user activity, data interpretation and information. Support ad hoc data queries for a variety of marketing programs.  Produce executive level reporting and prepare presentations, reports, and supporting data for VP of Marketing and other senior leadership. Drive and support measurement objectives. Identify key performance indicators.Plan, develop and coordinate various market research activities to identify customer preferences toward products and solutions and design respective survey instruments as required. Manage research supplier relationships as required, including contract negotiation and ensuring fulfillmentManage market sizing and share estimation activities. Identify lucrative customer segments.

 

Qualifications: BA / BS in Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Market Research and /or Finance.  MBA preferred.Telecom industry knowledge strongly preferred.Exceptional analytical skills and solid business acumenMust have in depth MS Office skills including MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, pivot table experience a plus.Scorecard experience a plusExperience with statistical analysis such as ROI modeling, linear regression  Must be able to work in a very fast paced entrepreneurial environment, multi task and manage multiple deliverables to completion within established deadlines Experience in market segmentation and pricingInnovative, self directed and high energy / positive personalityStrong communications skills, both written and oral
