We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Marketing Launch Manager to be located in our Aliso Viejo, CA corporate headquarters. The Marketing Launch Manager works cross-functionally to coordinate and manage resources that will plan and execute the successful release of QLogic products to the market. Working closely with Product Marketing and all support functions, the Marketing Launch Manager will ensure that QLogic products and supporting programs are prepared on time to result in the effective communication, promotion and ongoing marketing of new QLogic products. The Marketing Launch Manager will develop well defined processes and tools to augment the QLogic ?Product Development Process? that will result in the precise execution of deliverables required to support the launch of a product. The impact of the Marketing Launch Manager will be measured in terms of timely execution of launch deliverables, performance of launch, effective internal and external communication, and overall success of each launch program. This Launch Manager will be responsible for the following:




The Marketing Launch Manager will be responsible for creating and managing launch plans for key functional areas, such as product readiness, certification, support, service, training, channel readiness, product collateral, and promotional activities.




Working with leaders across a variety of functions, the Marketing Launch Manager will document the existing launch process and will drive improvements to the process on an ongoing basis. Improvements to the process will affect the effectiveness, timeliness, and readiness of QLogic launch plans.




The Marketing Launch Manager will document, update and maintain QLogic?s corporate launch strategy and tactical plans related to the preparation and release of products to the market (?go to market strategy?).




The Marketing Launch Manager will develop, maintain and distribute a Launch Calendar that tracks QLogic products and OEM products utilizing QLogic technology.




The Launch Manager will manage and host frequent cross-functional core team launch meetings as well as executive launch status meetings. In this capacity, the Marketing Launch Manager will be expected to chair the meetings, present launch plans, track action items and progress, capture and distribute minutes, and engage extended team members in the launch meetings when necessary.




The Marketing Launch Manager is accountable for the preparation of all launch deliverables across functions related to the launch of QLogic products as well as the timely and effective execution of launch deliverables in order to ensure a successful launch of QLogic product to the market. The Marketing Launch Manager will be expected to discern if/when a launch program, or one of its deliverables, is out of bounds with respect to content or schedule and escalate to the appropriate functional head to develop contingency plan and corrective action.

 Required Skills

The ideal candidate will come from the technology space with a background in marketing and Product launches. The candidate will have successful launched multiple products to market. The candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related discipline. Candidate will have 7 to 10 years of experience managing programs or projects in a fast paced, cross-functional environment. Ideal candidate will have 10 - 12 years of professional work experience and management background (would be helpful).




A proven track record of influence with all levels of co-workers is required up to, and including, executive level influence. Qualified candidates will have familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Project and Visio; be a self starter accustomed to managing a variety of concurrent deliverables at different stages of development; have high standards or quality and execution; and be comfortable in a highly accountable, highly visible role.
