Summary:
The Sr. Marketing Manager will develop, direct and oversee Classmates.com?s on-site marketing strategies, objectives, and tactics that drive paid subscriptions, user-generated content, and other site activities. The Sr. Marketing Manager also plays a key role in executing strategic integrated marketing plans and initiatives across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
? Directs and oversees Classmates.com?s on-site marketing strategies and tactics including direct sales promotions, sweepstakes, user generated content collection, affiliations, new product feature promotions and marketing partnerships.
? Develops and communicates the annual promotional plan and marketing calendar.
? Leads and oversees the implementation of marketing plans for ongoing products, new site products and features with the highest quality standards, creativity and effectiveness.
? Reviews and identifies trends, changes to the marketplace and industry and adjusts marketing strategy and plans accordingly to take advantage of these opportunities.
? Works cross-functionally with various teams (legal, creative, product, project management, development, etc) to ensure projects are on-time and meet standards.
? Fully responsible for day-to-day management of all site marketing programs and on-going analysis of historical promotions and tests.
? Use direct marketing and brand communication principles to manage marketing campaigns, report on results and modify tactics based on the results to maximize sales and customer retention.
? Give input to and write creative briefs to manage development of content and tactical execution for specific campaigns/customer segments, with emphasis on revenue generation, messaging continuity and customer satisfaction.
? Use business analysis tools & techniques to analyze information on conversion rates, campaign tracking/testing, and online cost of acquisition optimization. Apply analytic insights to transform findings into actionable recommendations to improve the marketing programs and results.
? Work with sales and business development to plan and implement promotional partnerships.
? Provide marketing input to product management as part of the product development and enhancement process.
Requirements:
7+ years of total experience and 5+ years of experience in consumer direct marketing, marketing analysis, online marketing ? online subscription marketing experience is a plus.
? Education: Degree (BA or MBA) in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
? Familiarity with internet subscription models.
? Deep knowledge of direct marketing principles and practices.
? The ability to think strategically and act tactically in marketing program development and execution.
? Extremely organized and team-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
? Proven analytic skills. Able to measure marketing and promotional effectiveness, structure marketing tests and track performance.
? Experience managing marketing budgets and metric-driven promotional campaigns.
? Self-directed, experienced, creative, innovative, adaptable, goal-oriented, results-driven with a commitment to continuous improvement.
? Track record of excellence leading groups, management of teams, and strong interpersonal skills. Have managed 1-5 direct reports.
? Succinct, convincing writing and presentation skills suited to executive presentation.
? A take-charge attitude with the ability to quickly add value by identifying the most critical issues and opportunities.
? Previous experience working in organizations where cross-functional inter-dependence is required and will be effective at navigating cross-functional relationships collaboratively.
