Sr. Marketing Mgr.-Consumer Goods Manufacturer

THE COMPANY: Our client has been in business for more than 60 years and is a global leader in the manufacturing and marketing of a wide variety of tabletop products.  With operations in 7 countries on 3 continents, they dominate several of their product categories in both the domestic and international marketplaces.  Long known for their innovative designs and product quality, this organization is also widely respected as a technological leader, especially in the field of supply chain systems.


 


THE POSITION: This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and is responsible for the overall brand management of the tabletop product category through the effective development of new and existing products and the successful execution of strategic marketing plans.  This person will thoroughly analyze consumer trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape.  This person will function as a brand expert of this product category both internally within the organization and externally with the firm’s business partners.  This person will collaborate with the Sales Department and Retail Buyers to develop promotions and programs to enhance sales and increase market share.


 


QUALIFICATIONS:


· 5+ years of marketing and brand management experience with a consumer products company. 


· Tabletop experience desired.  Past experience working with products that have a strong image orientation, such as fashion, beauty, home furnishings, or luxury goods is a plus.


· Undergraduate degree required – preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.  Graduate degree preferred.


· Must understand the end consumer (primarily women) and have the ability to initiate marketing communication (through packaging, merchandising and all other marketing vehicles).


·  Established knowledge of upper-tier retailers/department stores.
