Sr. Product Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Individual will be responsible for developing and executing new product strategy that will deliver our long and short-term business goals. He/she will create a pipeline of new products through internal development and external procurement and acquisition.


SCOPE OF POSITION

Individual reports directly to the Director of Commercial Marketing, who reports directly to VP, Commercial Division. This position involves a high degree of interface with other departments including sales, corporate brand marketing, operations and R&D, as well as customers and outside agencies.

The individual will be responsible for the analysis of data to help influence the development of products and identify market drivers and future growth areas. Activities include coordinating market research, market and competitive analysis. Must be able to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while producing high quality work.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Working cross functionally to drive and support new product development
Developing and executing the cardio product strategy
Enhancing the Precor branded customer experience in cardio product
Identifying trends and opportunities that will guide the business agenda
Generating customer insights that drive product and marketing strategies for the cardio business
Identifying strategic partners and resources


Experience and Skills:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

1. BS or BA required
2. MBA, personal trainer license or physiological training a plus

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1. 3-5 years of demonstrated results and growth in product management.
2. Involvement in new product development in a manufacturing company desired
3. Previous experience in the fitness industry a plus.
4. Cardio product business experience a plus.
5. Knowledge as cardio product end user preferred.
6. Previous experience in channel marketing desirable.
7. Sales experience or interface with sales team desirable.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

1. Position to be filled in Woodinville, WA, at the sire of corporate headquarters.
2. Requires travel to Sales Meetings, tradeshows, customer needs, and procurement needs.
