Job Description:

The candidate for senior manager should have 8-10 years experience preferably with a large public relations agency. This person should be a strong writer and be able to create compelling news releases and pitch letters to the media. The ideal candidate has key national media contacts and experience in introducing new products to both national and local media, planning special events and multi-tasking in a performance-driven culture.

The candidate must possess an upbeat personality and the ability to work with many different constituents within the company.

* Develop, manage and execute national and local PR programs to drive news around the Quiznos brand, products, and programs. *Special emphasis on local market publicity in cities and towns across the country will be the key focus of the position.
* Serve as PR representative and respond to news media inquiries with polish and flair
* Research, track and analyze media placements and produce electronic updates and competitive reports
* Draft press materials: press releases and key messages for media interviews and customer inquiries.
* Assist SVP of PR during crisis related situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 8-10 years experience in corporate / consumer public relations and marketing communications with a top PR firm and/ or corporation.
Minimum of 4 years at PR Firm in successive positions up to
Account Manager or Sr. Account Manager.
Additional corporate level experience in QSR, Food Production or
Retail Management a decided plus.
* Strong background and expertise in writing news releases, speaking to consumer, food and business press, and have solid strategic and creative thinking capabilities.
* Success profile in client management of medium to large corporate accounts (both public and private) with recognized brand.
* Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
* Minimum of BA/BS in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
* Strong knowledge of public relations formats: statements, releases, advisories and speeches)
* Prior experience w/ new product releases into market.
* Strong media relationships a decided plus.
* Proven success in building and managing strong interpersonal relationships both internally and externally. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast - paced, fluid environment with limited prior processes.
* Ideal candidate will have ability to manage stress with flair and have a strong personality to be influential with sr. executives. Able to rally a team around ideas. Highly self - motivated and energetic to PR as part of their persona.  And the ability to have fun while working.
