Statistician

Wiland Direct, a rapidly growing Database Marketing Company located in Longmont, CO, is seeking an experienced Statistician.  This position will be responsible for the creation, implementation and maintenance of statistical models designed to help direct marketers acquire new customers and more effectively segment their existing customers to improve their bottom line.  Responsibilities also include working closely with internal client service teams as well as directly with clients.  In addition, this position will work with the technologies staff to implement new models in production and establish quality control procedures.

 

Qualified candidates will have a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or related field and 5+ years experience in SAS, SPSS, or S-Plus; experience with model development and segmentation in the Direct Marketing industry.  Ability to perform advanced statistical analysis is essential.  Other requirements include experience working with very large databases completing sampling designs, multivariate modeling, classification analyses, and production implementation of algorithms.  Experience with data mining tools is a plus.  Professional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
