Statistician and Data Analyst

. STATISTICIAN AND DATA ANALYST The primary duty of the Analyst is to assemble and prepare data for analysis and then to use statistical and reporting techniques to summarize the data into actionable results for management. Data processing, statistical analysis, and reporting will be performed using SAS. The Analyst will be challenged to develop insights and interpretations related to the data and its summarization.

The analysis will involve data collected from the client's customer-facing call center and the effects of differentiated customer concern handling processes. The analyst will access large scale SAS datasets related to automotive purchase, vehicle service, and survey data.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
? Work with client to define the objectives and business requirements for data analyses such as the development of key metrics
? Assemble and prepare data for analysis within a SAS dataset and SAS processing environment on a Unix server.
? Prepare statistical analyses including ad hoc deeper-dive studies of the effects of differentiated treatments on customer satisfaction and automotive re-purchase behavior.
? Track and report the status of key metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
? 4-6 years experience in a position involving SAS programming, statistical analysis and reporting.
? Ability to plan, develop, and implement an analytical study.
? Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing.
? Strong office software skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
? Expertise in the use of SAS programming and SAS statistical procedures.
? Preferred: Experience in analyzing data at an automotive company or an automotive marketing or research agency.

EDUCATION
? Required: BA in Marketing or Business or equivalent
? Preferred: MBA or MA with emphasis in quantitative methods
