Strategic Business Development & Initiatives

We have been retained by our client to recruit their Director Strategic Business Development for their location in Austin, TX.  This is a newly created, highly visible position that will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, recommending, negotiating and executing strategic partnerships and business development opportunities that will have a direct, significant impact across all revenue lines of business.  Drawing on previous experience and understanding on various web-based b2b subscription based business models and online advertising revenue models will enhance the success of the Director.

 

Specific areas of responsibility:

? Develop and maintain comprehensive and prioritized partner target lists.

? Work initiatives across three dimensions: distribution and go-to-market strategies to promote and sell subscriptions to small, mid-sized companies ? similarly against large strategic accounts ? traffic driving and new distribution vehicle opportunities to increase free site traffic and corresponding advertising revenue.

? Appropriately coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment as major initiatives work their way toward completion.

? Aggressively manage existing partnerships with major partners to maximize return.

 

Ideal candidate:

? MBA.

? May come from: management consulting, software, banking, or corporate development.

? 5+ years combined experience from operations, product marketing and business development.

? High degree of emotional intelligence, flexibility, and motivation. 

? Excellent communication and relationship building skills across all levels; internally and externally.

? Willing and able to travel as necessary.
