Strategic Marketing Manager

Our client, a leading fabric manufacture, is currently recruiting for a Strategic Marketing Manager.

 

Job Description: 

 

The Strategic Marketing Manager responsibilities include developing and executing a Strategic Plan for two segments and supporting development of the Annual Operating Plan for those particular segments, identifying industry trends and developing and refining the value proposition. Additional responsibilities include delivering competitive intelligence, market analysis, strategies and programs, sales collateral and promotional plans to the field that focus on business growth, as well as any customer excellence initiatives.

 

Job Responsibilities:
Execute strategic market analysis that clearly defines opportunities within the global market.
Direct management of field marketing managers responsible for local (field market managers may be located throughout the world) applications, programs and market communications.
Coach field marketing managers to insure their activities lead to building blocks of the Strategic Plan. Activities would include those associated with the business and also those associated with personal development regarding strategic marketing skills.
Develop process and systems to gather and communicate appropriate competitive intelligence to drive strategy development and educate the field on marketplace dynamics.
Develop marketing programs including customer excellence (Customer Relationship Management, Voice Of the Customer (VOC), Pricing/Customer Profitability analysis, among others), advertising, collateral, editorials, sales tool kits and training.

 

Job Requirements:
8+ years experience with a track record of obtaining results in a combination of B2G and B2B strategic marketing
5+ years experience in high performance product marketing in non-commodity businesses
3+ years with success in development, staffing, and training of a marketing team
Strong strategic B2B / B2G marketing acumen
BS/BA  required, MBA preferred

 

Travel will be necessary for this position both internationally and domestically. Candidates should plan on up to 50% travel, with international travel up to three times a year.
