Job Title: Traffic Managers

Purpose:

Maintain all project and production schedules and ensure deadlines are met. Document and store all stages of each project (including copy, layouts, mechanicals, electronic output, web development, and miscellaneous correspondence). Act as liaison between Creative, Account Management, Studio, Production and other departments as needed.


Responsibilities:


Ensure clear and sufficient information is being communicated on a Job Activity Form.

Keep abreast of deliverables in the Creative Department and ensure due dates for concepts, copy, layout, art, etc., will be met.

Keep abreast of deliverables in the Production Department and ensure due dates that were established for schedules, production estimates and finished work will be met.

Responsible for ensuring agency's new business initiatives are completed on-time, including taking the lead on coordinating responses to RFP's, and compiling agency credentials books.

Ensure that due dates and specification job requirements are accurate, current, and met.

Alert all those involved of all real and anticipated difficulties.

Ensure compliance with agency and system procedures.

Develop, update and maintain schedules.

Enforce deadlines.

Ensure deadlines are met.

Enforce workflow procedures.

Coordinate/obtain internal approvals for creative deliverables including; routing copy, comps, layouts, mechanicals (with preflight documentation) and proofs.

Enforce and maintain accurate documentation for all aspects of project.

Constantly communicate with the project team to ensure all departments are apprised of job status.

Maintain and update daily / weekly status report.

Maintain chronological file of each project, including number of rounds.

Schedule weekly status meeting and WIP (work in progress) meetings on an as needed basis.

Ensure that changes to the mechanicals and artwork have been returned from printer and forwarded to Studio.

Additional duties that may be incorporated into a Delivery/Traffic/Producer role:

Doing broadcast estimates

Assist in booking studio time & talent

Assist in talent releases

Approving broadcast invoices to put thru to Accounting

Gathering original source material to make agency reel

Maintaining original source material

Assigning codes to tv / radio

Building and maintaining a Final Cut Pro capability to facilitate producing reels in-house

Issuing written directions and schedules to stations and networks concerning the use of commercial material.
