THE SKETCH

 

The ideal candidate for this position should have an enormous amount of energy, confidence and drive. We are looking for an individual who possesses excellent leadership skills, learns quickly, thinks quickly and sticks to their guns. Some collaborated communication should exist in a team dynamic but an independent working style is crucial to this role.  As traffic supervisor you will manage Production Artists and Production Coordinators as well as the production process for you team. We are looking for a true people person to come in, role up their sleeves and delegate the necessary responsibilities to get the job done.

 

YOUR TOOL BOX

 

Education and Experience

 5-7 years experience in production or related field4-year degree in Communication, Advertising or related field

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 Ability to multi-task, problem solve, focus on details, make sound decisions, utilize effective time management skills, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of production and pre-press processSkills: Desktop Publishing, Page Layout, image and file servers, and production data bases

 

 

Must Haves

 

 Provide leadership of Productions Artists and Production Coordinators to ensure systems and processes are efficiently and properly executed in the day-to-day operations.Provide solutions and implement new workflows to execute accurately and timely product.  Ensure staff is reviewing data to ensure accuracyAssign and distribute workload to team members appropriately. Conduct regular staff and one-on-one meetings to review status of job and provide performance feedbackInterface with clients and/or external vendors to identify and resolve production related issues Responsible for ensuring team project reports and performance data measurements are captured and distributed accordinglyActs as a point person for troubleshooting problemsWorks closely with the Production Director regarding extensions, media errors, down press issues and conflicts with employees or support staffComplies with company schedule hours and enforces the same with the employeesAnticipate potential production, schedule or deadline problems and communicates to appropriate departments; identify problems and develop timely solutions

 Participate in interview selection team for production positions upon requestActs as a backup to the Production Director in his/her absenceProduction Coordinator responsibilities in the absence of the PCAnswer technical questions Overseas new initiatives and rollouts
