US Fundraising Associate

The International Fund for Animal Welfare works to improve the welfare of wild and domestic animals throughout the world by reducing commercial exploitation of animals, protecting wildlife habitats, and assisting animals in distress.

 

Position Title:  U.S. Fundraising Associate

Reports To:  U.S. Country Office Director

Location of Job: Washington, DC

Job Code:  US008 

 

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to assist the US Country Office Director in fully realizing US fundraising potential.  The position will report to the US Country Office Dirctor, but will work closely with Headquarters staff on all aspects of fundraising

 

Responsibilities

? Assist with the cultivation and maintenance of major US donors working closely with the US Director and the Director of Resource Development.

? Assist with the solicitation of key US foundations and US corporations working closely with the Director of Foundations and Corporate Relations.

? Work with the US Communications Officer to ensure that communications investments both on the web and in paid and earned media are to the extent possible coordinated to reinforce fundraising efforts.

? Assist with the development of campaign updates and activist solicitations to ensure that US donors are apprised of ongoing campaign priorities and achievements.

 

Requirements

? Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting successful major gifts or other fundraising with a proven track record of success.

? Bachelor degree preferred.
