User Interface Designer -- Direct Marketing Agency

RTCRM ( http://www.rtcrm.com), a national relationship marketing agency, is seeking a talented and experienced User Interface Designer to support our rapidly growing portfolio of Fortune 100 & 500 clients in our Washington, DC office.  The ideal candidate will possess:

 

Skills & Requirements:

* Experience writing, evaluating and documenting UI, functional specifications.

* Excellent communication skills, good organization, time management, and attention to detail.
* Comfortable working in cross-functional teams, and the ability to accomplish tasks with or without supervision on a number of concurrent projects.
* Understanding of technical constraints that affect UI interaction design.

* Understanding of technical aspects of navigation, requirements, users needs and best practices.
* Ability to conceptualize UI design to meet needs and requirements.
* Conceptual understanding of man-machine interaction.

* Ability to draft, create and refine site maps.

* Ability to facilitate and conduct usability testing.

* Proficiency with HTML, DHTML; PHP experience helpful.

Responsibilities:

* Provide recommendations for the best possible user experience.

* Design "user experience" concepts and produce corresponding prototypes for desktop applications.
* Define and document specifications and requirements for UI designs.
* Support heuristic evaluations and other usability testing activities.
* Analyze user, customer, and business needs to help define application requirements.
* Work with standards/best practices for interface usability and responding to usability testing.
* Consult with internal and external teams (marketing, technical writing, and software development, clients and vendors) to ensure designs are understood, implemented, and communicated accordingly.
