VICE PRESIDENT, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Needed at PHILADELPHIA-Area Pharma, e-Marketing Firm

VP, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT   A leading provider of online marketing to the pharmaceutical industry is looking to add new members to their growing firm. Position opening for Vice President, Business Development is located in the Philadelphia, PA area.  To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess,

?  Extensive Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry

?  Experience with e-Marketing Tactics and Trends

?  Strong Communication and Strategic Thinking Skills

 

Responsibilities

?  Identify new opportunities and close new business within the assigned accounts

?  Prospect pharmaceutical companies in an effort to gain the opportunity to display and explain the company?s experience, knowledge, and strategies

?  Develop opportunities to sell company?s professional services via cold calling, networking, and industry events, resulting in face-to-face presentations and RFI/RFP response deliverables

?  Research and evaluate opportunities for company to win business opportunities with current and new pharmaceutical brands by identifying brand conflicts and conducting basic brand research

?  Work with Marketing Strategists, Business Operations Manager and other departments within company to prepare proposals, RFI/RFP responses and new business presentations, including creating presentation strategies and analyzing opportunity assessments

?  Brainstorm and create new marketing materials to promote company

?  Provide all presentations, RFI/RFP responses, and marketing materials to the Business Operations Manager for archiving

?  Develop a thorough knowledge of company?s capabilities and case studies

?  Provide credible opportunities, including closure probability, anticipated closure date, estimated price, and pertinent next step comments to other departments

?  Attend weekly sales meetings to report on and discuss credible opportunities

 

Position Qualifications

?  Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical industry as well as pharma e-marketing tactics, trends, sales, process and application development engagements

?  Posesses strong communication, written and presentation skills

?  Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, a strategic thinker who is innovative and willing to take risks,  and action-oriented

?  Capable of being team-oriented and customer-focused

?  Willing to travel locally up to 25-50% (by car or train) and nationally between 5-10% and bring necessary presentation materials

?  Attend potential non-business-hours client entertainment
