Targetbase, part of Omnicom Group Inc., has its headquarters in Dallas, Texas with an office in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The VP- Client Service assumes ultimate responsibility for management of all aspects of Targetbase resources in order to deliver projected revenue and profitability in a mannerism which generates a high degree of client satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Accountability:
? All aspects of client P & L accountability
? Responsible for co-ordinating all budgeting and forecasting on all client related projects
Your Client:
? You are the primary conduit for your client to access the resources at Targetbase
? Build senior level relationships with our clients and be viewed as an indispensable member to their overall team
? Take the lead role on building the clients business, generating new strategies for agency-client partnerships
? Develop a thorough understanding of all of our client?s businesses, brands, customers, and competitive environments in order to contribute to the development of the most effective business solutions and communication and creative strategies which deliver against their business objectives
? Be visible, be involved, and most of all, radiate through their business
? Attend and participate fully in client briefs, client presentations and attend client research as needed
? Develop an annual client satisfaction survey in order to ensure a formalized exchange of feedback on their business
? Proactively provide clients with a continuous stream of new ideas for their business which are not part of the current scope
Managing Targetbase Resources (Internal Specialists):
? Build relationships with each of the department heads who which will assist you in the achievement of your mandate. These will be your lieutenants, who will lead elements of your business, and manage their respective teams in a way as to optimize their contribution to the final product
? With the assistance of your lieutenants, develop and continuously monitor a staff resource plan which will optimize the manufacturing process for your client
? You have overall responsibility to ensure the team is developing effective strategies and is manufacturing product which delivers back to the objectives of the program or project
? You cannot get caught up in the manufacturing process, you are to be aware of it through your Account Director, but you must maintain an arms length approach
? Assist in building and championing communication and relations across the different business units of TB
? Shared responsibility for hiring people into your team which fit the culture and needs of your client
? Motivate and inspire the team to develop new leading edge formats and designs

? Overall responsibility to ensure that agency produces all client work with highest level of quality, on time and on budget
? You have final decision making power on all elements of the product being delivered to your client
? Be relentless at improving the quality and effectiveness of our product
? Ensure that our product is consistent with the standards of Targetbase, and delivers against the desired business objective while at the same time delivering a ?Best in Class? solution to our clients
Salesmanship:
? You need to be well versed in all of the products that TB offers; including technology, analytics and communications
? A strong understanding of customer marketing is a prerequisite, and knowledge of when to integrate any one or all of our products is essential
? Be continually aware of opportunities to expand our role within in our current clients to extend across our entire product portfolio
o Strong focus on growing our communications penetration within existing client base
? You will be charged and accountable for organic growth
Senior Management:
? As the primary owner of a group of TB clients, you will be responsible for preparing a monthly client summary for each which will be presented to the most senior stakeholders in the company
? In addition, you will be charged with organizing opportunities for others in TB to learn about the activity on your respective businesses, focusing on successes and failures
? You will be charged with communicating and reinforcing our standards of excellence ? on time, on budget, and delivered with the utmost integrity
? Contribute to building a positive agency culture, building positive working relationships with other departments and clients
Planning:
? As the facilitator of resources within TB for each of your clients, you will be charged with developing an annual client plan which will provide the basis for your updated monthly client summaries
? You will need to continually monitor and recommend adjustments to staff mix based on the needs of your clients
The Industry:
? Develop visibility, and stay connected with the industry in order to attract the top talent
? Encourage the exploration of a multitude of solutions; seeking out new additional resources as necessary
?
Your Report:
? Take an active role in developing your direct reports, providing mentorship and guidance
? Block and tackle for them within the organization as needed to ensure roadblocks are removed which hamper performance and process
? Conduct regular performance evaluations for your direct report and ensure that each member is mapped a clear developmental career path
? Delegate effectively to ensure that your time is freed to achieve your mandate
? Involve your direct report in your business and your clients to ensure they are able to cover for you in any given circumstance
? You will need to continually monitor and recommend adjustments to staff mix based on the needs of your clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Minimum of 8 years experience in a client service role in a communication agency
? Must have a solid track record of understanding and applying direct/target marketing strategies that help pharma succeed in the marketplace
? Experience in leading and mentoring a direct marketing team and providing senior council to clients
? Solid understanding of agency and creative process and integrated disciplines
? Ability to inspire award winning creative
? Track record of building strong long, term client relationships
? Continually drive for results and highest quality standards
? Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
? Demonstrated fiscal management skills
? Ability to keep composure in high stress situations
? Experienced people manager, demonstrating strong mentoring and leadership abilities
? Superior organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
? Demonstrated strategic thinking with ability to lead a business
? Solid understanding of business and current marketplace
? Category experience a strong asset
? Ability to design and deliver presentations with a creative flare
? Proficient in MS office
? Post Secondary education in business marketing or advertising preferred
